WiFi, Square Mile coffee, and bicycle eye candy. What more could you ask for on a Monday morning?
A new British brand we’ve been championing from the start, this latest review of Bowman’s Palace should kill any thoughts you may have that aluminium is a ‘downgrade material’ for a road bike…
Well, what a frame. The Palace sums up to me everything that a proper race bike should be. That raw, uncluttered feeling of some metal tubes and sorted geometry creating a bike that just feels right.
At cruising speed it’s mild mannered and very easy to ride and you can cover a lot of miles with very little distraction. (An) absolutely awesome frame that is a showcase for aluminium; one of the best high-speed handling frames out there
With no weight limit and a sensible price tag this is the bike you need for the 2015 Crit season!
- Frameset (inc headset) £650
- Full Shimano 105 builds from £1450

Being situated in Hoxton we have a really great mix of customers from various creative industries and the lovely gents from Sounds & Sons based over the road have put together a wonderful podcast featuring some aural treats… Click the image to listen along!
One of the main issues with commuting seems to be finding a secure lock that’s easily carried around. Most people end up with them dangling from their handlebars which is quick and convenient but dangerous and one of the major causes of broken cables and therefore brakes & gears that just don’t work.
Seized quill stem? No problem, as always we’re up for a challenge… First the blowtorch then it’s time for a healthy dose of Finshline’s wonderful Chill Zone spray to rapidly cool everything down and break the bond between the corroded parts. A bit of elbow grease and hey presto one more repaired bike.
More fun than fixing punctures and one very happy customer… Good times!
Our resident sugar addict Fin decided to build himself some lunch… 4 small (read medium!) sized traditional crépes, 2 bananas & a somewhat zealous amount of Nutella all dressed with a sprinkle of icing sugar and chocolate sauce. The result… Awesome but (and we can’t believe he said it) “a bit too much Nutella”
Guess he;s just going to have to try again… We’re sure he’s not too upset!
If you’ve got a favourite Crépe suggestion drop us an email and it may appear on our updated menu… Bacon & Maple syrup is a getting some serious ‘likes’ at the moment!

As the seasons change and different beans take shape across the world Square work their magic to bring the best of the seasons flavors to your palette.
This new blend features 3 beans:
From the El Majahual you have the classic Bourbon profile of caramel sweetness, baked apple notes and orange fondant.
From the Puente Selection you’ll get brown sugar sweetness, caramel and roasted hazelnut.
From the Kagumoini you’ll find loads of berries, cherries, raspberries and blueberries. This is a well balanced and very sweet espresso.
In milk the fruit drops back, and it is all sweetness with notes of caramel, toffee and a super clean finish.
We think you’ll love this one as much as we do.
